Lead generation for a global payments platform
Case: Immido & Payoneer. A base of 2050 companies and 5000 contacts, built to the client's target profile.
The project and its goal
The project was carried out for Payoneer, which set a clear goal: to find targeted leads - companies and the contact details of their C-level executives - matching a specific profile set by the client.
Search criteria
Three criteria decided which companies belonged in the base:
Company size
Medium or large-scale businesses.
Geography
Companies from specific regions and countries.
Industries
Sectors relevant to the client - for example GameDev, Marketing SaaS and IT.
The task was a base of high-quality, up-to-date leads that met every criterion and had high potential for further engagement.
Tools
What the work ran on, and what each tool was there to do.
| Tool | What it was used for |
|---|---|
| Snov.io | Searching for companies by size, industry and region; exporting contacts, including the emails of executives and managers. |
| SignalHire | Finding and verifying the contact details of key people at each company - corporate emails, LinkedIn profiles and other data. |
| LinkedIn Sales Navigator | Deep audience segmentation with filters - company size, industry, region. |
| Hunter.io | Email validation, to keep contact details accurate. |
| Apollo.io | Detailed analysis of companies and their key decision-makers. |
| Additional contact-search service | A further source for finding contacts and checking that they matched the brief. |
How the work was done
Validation and verification
Contacts were validated and checked through Snov.io, LinkedIn and Hunter.io to minimise errors.
Updating the existing base
Outdated records were removed, including from the base the client already had.
Weekly reporting
Every week, on a day and at a time agreed in advance, the client received the base as a structured Excel file with a short summary report.
Current contacts
We checked that every contact in the base was current and relevant.
Regular database review
The base was reviewed regularly.
Structured work
The work followed a structured workflow, and the process was documented.
Results
Two main tasks were completed:
- Finding new contacts.
- Updating the existing base, where many entries were outdated.
- 100%of contacts verified for accuracy.
- 8months of work - and the collaboration continued beyond them.
The contacts included key decision-makers: CEOs, CFOs, Heads of Finance and other roles relevant to the client.
The project was delivered within the timeframe agreed in advance.
Contacts by month
A snapshot of five months of the engagement:
| Month | Contacts |
|---|---|
| April | 686 |
| May | 961 |
| June | 649 |
| July | 402 |
| August | 432 |
Conclusion
- Through effective use of tools such as Snov.io, SignalHire and LinkedIn, together with thorough data analysis, every client requirement was met.
- The client received a high-quality, targeted lead base, which was later used for further customer acquisition.
This case shows how a well-structured approach to lead generation lets a business quickly find relevant prospects, save time and optimise its resources towards its commercial goals.
